After the success of the Ceilidh there has been a lot of interest from young people so a juniors group has been started. Meeting from 6:30 to 7:30PM on Wednesdays the first half hour will be just the juniors, it will then overlap with the start of the adult group and we will dance together.
Great weekend, Ceilidh on Friday night, Beginner/intermediate class with Diane Bradshaw on Saturday and a social dance on Saturday night. Live music for everything from Glenfiddle (Anne-Marie Forsyth, Sharlene Penman, Margaret Peace and Natalie Scott). Wonderful support from dancers from Dunedin, Invercargill, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland and caller for the Ceilidh, Ruth Budden.
Here is some video of the dancing on Saturday night Lawrence SCD 18th May 2018
A great evening, particular thanks to the visiting dancers from Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin, and the the Lawrence dancers who did flowers, catered and cleared up and most importantly who danced so well.
